China Geography Sinopedia Series 1 Ping Zheng
Nice introduction to the regional geography of China. However, this is not a serious scholarly work. It reads more like a tourist brochure would read, all positive and glowing. There is no discussion of problems/issues existing in each of the regions covered in the book, except where the author briefly mentions a problem/issue then quickly talks about all the wonderful things the government is doing to improve that problem/issue. The author was obviously writing to please the censors who check for official government party line. So, if you can overlook that this is not a true scholarly work, it does provide a good overview of the regions.Product details
